THE WAVE REMAIN ONLY UNBEATEN TEAM WITH 3-1 WIN OVER CLUB NACIONAL

SAN DIEGO CLINCHES TOP SPOT IN GROUP TWO AND WILL ADVANCE TO SEMI FINAL ON SUNDAY

THE WAVE REMAIN ONLY UNBEATEN TEAM WITH 3-1 WIN OVER CLUB NACIONAL

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, USA (DEC. 6, 2025) — San Diego Wave kept their unbeaten streak alive with a confident victory over Club Nacional, cementing their spot at the top of Group 2 in W7F Florida.

An interesting twist saw Nacional’s captain, goalkeeper Jose Villanueva, start on the bench and play outfield — allowed under W7F rules — adding a unique flavor to the clash. Despite the home crowd’s passionate support, Nacional struggled to break down a dominant Wave side.

Makenzy Robbe opened the scoring early, quickly followed by Quincy McMahon’s cool penalty finish. Jordan Fusco then capitalized on a brilliant move by Delphine Cascarino to make it 3-0 before halftime. Nacional’s Isa Pérez pulled one back in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to threaten San Diego’s control.

With this win, San Diego remained the only undefeated team in the tournament, setting up a tantalizing Semi Final clash against Flamengo. Meanwhile, Nacional exits the competition but won plenty of respect for their fight and the fiery atmosphere they brought to the Beyond Bancard field.
