Beever-Jones Earns Double Honors in Championship Run
The Chelsea striker was awarded both the Golden Ball and the Golden Boot.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (MAY 30, 2026) – Aggie Beever-Jones left no doubt as to who was the player of the tournament at World Sevens Football London Edition, earning both the Golden Ball and the Golden Boot after leading Chelsea to the W7F Championship.
Semi finalist Aston Villa produced two honorees, with goalkeeper Sabrina D’Angelo nabbing the Golden Glove and defender Rachel Maltby being named the Breakout Player of the tournament.
Golden Ball: Aggie Beever-Jones, Chelsea
Golden Boot: Aggie Beever-Jones, Chelsea
The Blues attacker showcased her scoring prowess throughout Chelsea’s five matches, finishing with eight goals and five assists. What might be even more impressive is that she notched those eight scores on just 12 shots – 11 of which were on target.
Beever-Jones’s most memorable finish will be the match-winning strike, which came with just 23 seconds remaining to complete the Blues’ 6-5 comeback against Manchester United in The W7F Final.
Golden Glove: Sabrina D’Angelo, Aston Villa
The netminder was a human highlight reel, consistently thwarting her opponents and powering Aston Villa to the semi finals. D’Angelo finished with 27 saves in just four matches – almost doubling up her closest competitor, Manchester United’s Phallon Tullis-Joyce, who had 14.
Breakout Player: Rachel Maltby, Aston Villa
The 19-year-old fullback wowed the crowd with her skill and her athleticism, celebrating each of her two goals with a signature backflip. Maltby added an assist in what was one of the most complete efforts by a young player.
