LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (MAY 29, 2026) – Tottenham proved that they’re a force to reckon with in their second match of World Sevens Football London Edition, controlling the run of play in topping West Ham, 4-1, on Friday afternoon.

Spurs came out in player introductions sporting boxing gloves, looking to deliver a knockout punch. Meanwhile, the Hammers walked the green carpet to Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi,” stopping to strike poses for their faithful photographers.

The spirit of the fighter proved to be inspiring in the first half, with Tottenham scoring three times and limiting opportunities defensively.

Araya Dennis drew first blood in the fourth minute, firing a cannon from the edge of the eighteen-yard box for a 1-0 Spurs lead. Ella Morris doubled Tottenham’s advantage in the seventh minute, receiving a layoff from Molly Bartrip and burying it in the back of the West Ham net.

Spurs goalkeeper Eleanor Heeps added a stunning save in the 13th minute, denying Tuva Hansen on the break. But Estelle Cascarino got one back for the Hammers on the first penalty kick of the tournament.

The West Ham goal seemed to reinspire Tottenham. Signe Gaupset carried the ball into the penalty box and drilled it home, pushing Spurs ahead 3-1 shortly before halftime.

Cathinka Tandberg kept things going for Tottenham in the second half, drawing the Hammers defense at the right edge of the penalty box and slotting the ball to a wide-open Eveliina Summanen for a tap-in finish. The score gave Tottenham a 4-1 lead with just five minutes remaining in the match.

Spurs controlled things from there, marching on to the triumph.
