FINAL MATCH — SAN DIEGO WAVE FC CROWNED W7F CHAMPIONS WITH PERFECT 5 WIN RUN
NWSL SIDE TRIUMPHS IN W7F’S FIRST NORTH AMERICAN EVENT

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, USA (DEC. 7, 2025) — A heavyweight final lived up to its billing as San Diego Wave FC completed an undefeated tournament with a composed, ruthless 3–0 win over Tigres in the W7F Final in Fort Lauderdale. It was USA vs. Mexico with everything on the line, and the Wave rose to the moment with complete authority.
Both sides entered with firepower, San Diego boasting 11 goals in four matches, and Tigres, powered by top scorer María Sánchez, with 10 goals in as many matches. The opening exchanges were tense and chances scarce. But in the 10th minute, the Wave struck: Makenzy Robbe finished off a sharp counter orchestrated by Hanna Lundkvist. That edge held until halftime, with Tigres still very much alive.
The second half was pure San Diego dominance. Lundkvist delivered again, setting up Adriana Leon for the Wave’s second, before Leon unleashed an outside-the-box rocket just a minute later to make it 3–0. Tigres almost produced a highlight-reel response when Bárbara Olivieri rattled the bar from distance, but San Diego’s control never wavered as they closed out the match with confidence.
With five wins from five, 14 goals scored, and commanding performances throughout, San Diego Wave lift the second-ever W7F title and take home the $2,000,000 prize. Tigres finish as proud runners-up, as María Sánchez claims the Golden Boot with six goals. A spectacular finale to an unforgettable weekend. That is a wrap!
