BAYERN STILL UNBEATEN HEADING INTO THE FINAL DAY

ESTORIL, PORTUGAL (22 May, 2025) — In perhaps the most anticipated clash of the group stage, Bayern München handed Manchester City their first loss of the W7F tournament with a composed and clinical 3-1 win that cements the German side’s place in semifinal 1. Both teams struck very early, with Linda Dallmann opening the scoring for Bayern before City’s Aoba Fujino replied instantly with a slick low finish. The second half saw Bayern take control. Julia Zigiotti blasted in a screamer from distance to put her team ahead, and Maria Plattner sealed the win with a shot that slipped underneath Khiara Keating.
