Consolation Match Game Recap — PSG Triumph Over City
The French squad defeats Manchester City 3-1 to finish the tournament in third

PSG CLAIM THIRD PLACE WITH STRONG SECOND-HALF DISPLAY
ESTORIL, PORTUGAL (23 May, 2025) — Paris Saint-Germain claimed third place at the inaugural W7F tournament with a 3-1 win over Manchester City in Estoril. Despite a bright start from City, PSG’s experience and clinical finishing proved the difference in a tightly contested match. City took the lead in the 9th minute when Jess Park curled in a low shot after a well-worked move. But PSG responded immediately through substitute Manssita Traoré, who equalized with her first touch. Momentum shifted after the break, with Grace Geyoro putting PSG ahead before Oceáne Hurtre added a stunning third from a direct free kick, one for the history books as the first W7F set piece goal ever. PSG’s sharp second-half performance secured a deserved victory and the final spot on the podium. Manchester City finish fourth, having impressed across the tournament but falling short in this closing test.
