LUEBBERT SCORES GOAL AND NETS ASSIST IN DOMINANT VICTORY TO CLOSE POOL PLAY

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, USA (DEC. 6, 2025) — Club América booked their place in Semi Final 1 with a commanding 3-0 victory against Deportivo Cali in the final match of day two at the W7F Florida.
Kiana Palacios opened the scoring early for América, finishing calmly at the near post after a precise cross from Sarah Luebbert. The Colombian supporters in the stands continued to bring immense passion, but América’s control was evident throughout the match.
Sarah Luebbert doubled the lead with a composed finish after assisting the opener, putting the Mexican side firmly in control. Montserrat Saldivar sealed the victory with a third goal late in the game, sending Club América through to a much-anticipated semi-final clash against Tigres.
Despite the loss, Deportivo Cali’s fans kept their energy high, showing true spirit and heart as their team’s tournament campaign came to an end. Club América now look ahead to a thrilling Mexican ‘Clasico’ showdown to kick off day three.
