Club América Show Their Class in Five Goal Win Over Club Nacional
FINAL MATCH OF THE DAY YIELDS A COMBINED SEVEN GOALS

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, USA (DEC. 5, 2025) — Club América lit up the Bancard pitch with a dazzling 5–2 victory against Club Nacional in a thrilling finale to the opening day of the World Sevens Football tournament in Florida.
Scarlett Camberos got América off to the perfect start with a sharp individual goal inside three minutes. The first half was a tight battle, with both sides struggling to carve out clear chances. However, América’s Jana Gutiérrez doubled the lead early in the second half with a calm finish after slick one-touch passing.
Uruguay’s Club Nacional responded immediately, with Martha Figueiredo firing a thunderous penalty into the top corner and Jeni Clara heading in an equaliser to level the contest. But América quickly regained control. Gutiérrez completed her brace with a composed header from a pinpoint cross, while Montserrat Saldivar’s classy finish and quick-fire follow-up sealed a commanding win for the Mexicans.
With seven goals scored in a game full of pace, skill, and flair, the first day of W7F’s Fort Lauderdale tournament ended on a high, leaving fans buzzing and hungry for more action to come tomorrow.
