Beever-Jones, Chelsea Star on Day 1 of London Edition
The Blues lead Group 1, with two wins in two matches.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (MAY 28, 2026) – After six matches, Aggie Beever-Jones and Chelsea are emerging as the initial favorites at World Sevens Football London Edition.
The Blues earned wins against Everton and Leicester City to move to the top of Group 1. Beever-Jones racked up two goals and three assists, making an early case for the Golden Ball.
Her main competition might be Manchester United’s Elisabeth Terland, who registered a first-half hat trick in the Red Devils’ 5-4 win over West Ham. The sides’ combined nine goals set a W7F record – which was then immediately matched in Aston Villa’s 6-3 defeat of Spurs.
Rachel Maltby displayed both her skill and her style for the Villans, netting a brace and celebrating each of her goals with crowd-thrilling backflips. Aston Villa and Manchester United remain undefeated, each winning their one and only fixture of Day 1.
Here are all the results from Day 1:
Chelsea 4, Everton 3 (A.O.T.)
Leicester City 2, London City 1
Manchester United 5, West Ham 4
Aston Villa 6, Tottenham Hotspur 3
Everton 2, London City 1
Chelsea 3, Leicester City 1
Day 2 resumes with six group-stage matches starting at 1500 BST (10:00am EDT).
