World Sevens Football adds two Barclays Women's Super League Teams to the First-Ever W7F London Edition

Tottenham Hotspur Women and West Ham United Join Manchester United Women and Aston Villa Women for Three-Day 7v7 Football Tournament

LONDON (16 April 2026) - World Sevens Football (W7F), the innovative 7v7 women’s football series, continues to build its elite lineup for the inaugural “W7F London Edition”, with two more Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) football clubs, Tottenham Hotspur Women and West Ham United, joining a competitive eight-club field. The event is taking place from 28-30 May 2026, at Brentford FC’s Gtech Community Stadium.

The W7F London Edition follows successful events in Estoril, Portugal, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2025, marking the next phase in W7F’s growth. The event offers a 1.5 million USD prize pool and emphasizes atmosphere and fan experience, offering supporters multiple matches and clubs in one venue over three days, along with music, culture, and incredible content for fans unable to attend.

“We’re thrilled to welcome two more of the league’s top clubs to a growing field that showcases some of the best players in the world,” said Sarah Cummins, CEO of W7F. “The timing and location of this edition were intentional, giving the league, players, and clubs an elevated stage to connect even further with fans and celebrate another incredible WSL season together in our truly unique W7F environment.”

Tottenham Hotspur Women’s Managing Director Andy Rogers said: "We're excited to take on a brand new challenge. The World Sevens is a fast-paced competition that can present us with new perspectives on the pitch, while also bringing the fans ever closer to the action. As a Club that embraces flair, style, and passion, we are delighted to be joining such a creative, fan-first competition this May."

Philippa Cartwright, Head of Women’s Football, West Ham United, said: “We’re delighted to be participating in the next edition of World Sevens and to be part of an event that reflects the continued growth and evolution of the women’s game. Opportunities like this are hugely valuable for the Club and our fan base, and will provide an exciting challenge for our players to showcase their talents. For now, the team’s sole focus is finishing the WSL season as strongly as possible.
Then, when the time is right, we can look forward to the World Sevens at the end of May.”

Anita Asante, W7F Player Advisory Council member, said: “The first two W7F tournaments showed us just how much appetite there is for fast‐paced, high‐energy, short‐sharp women’s football. The clubs coming to London represent some of the very best in English women’s football, and I know the players, including those returning from our first W7F tournament, will relish getting back out there and putting on a brilliant few days of football for the fans.”

Tickets are now on general sale at worldsevens.com, with prices starting at £17 for adults. Passes are available for individual days or as a three-day package to experience the tournament in its entirety. Family packages are also available.
Further details on participating clubs and broadcast partners will be announced in the coming weeks.
