NEW YORK CITY (November 13, 2025): World Sevens Football (W7F) today announced that Club Nacional de Football Femenino, one of South America’s most storied clubs, has completed the lineup of eight women’s teams playing in the first-ever W7F North American tournament taking place December 5-7, 2025, at Beyond Bancard Field in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The Uruguayan team joins a world-class field featuring the USA’s Kansas City Current, San Diego Wave FC, Canada’s AFC Toronto, Mexico’s Club América and Tigres Femenil, Brazil’s Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, and Colombia’s Deportivo Cali Femenino. With a majority of the clubs currently leading or at the top levels of their respective leagues, the tournament will unite some of the most successful and exciting women’s football clubs from across the Americas in a fast-paced 7v7 format.

The Fort Lauderdale event marks World Sevens Football’s North American debut following its successful global launch in Estoril, Portugal, earlier this year. Eight elite clubs from across the Americas will compete for a $5 million prize pool, one of the largest in women’s football. The tournament will be broadcast globally through DAZN, ensuring fans everywhere can experience the action.
