NEW YORK (6 May, 2025) – World Sevens Football (W7F) is thrilled to announce the final four professional women’s football teams who will complete the line-up for the inaugural W7F tournament, taking place from 21-23 May 2025, in Estoril, Portugal, at Estádio António Coimbra da Mota. The four teams are:
They join AFC Ajax Vrouwen, FC Bayern Women, Sport Lisboa e Benfica, and Manchester United Women Football Club, finalizing a stellar line-up of eight elite names that will bring world-class talent and competition to W7F’s electrifying, seven-a-side format.
The tournament will feature eight professional teams playing 15-minute halves on pitches half the size of a regulation pitch. Round-robin group-stage matches will feed into semi-finals and a final match-up across three days of intense competition. All sessions will be streamed live globally on DAZN.
The newly announced clubs, each recognized as leaders in their respective domestic leagues, bring further strength, talent, and global appeal to the competition:
